How to Download PAN Card Online (Step-by-Step Guide)

Downloading your PAN Card (e-PAN PDF) is now very easy. You can download it online from official government
portals like NSDL, UTIITSL, or the Income Tax e-filing portal.
In this blog, we will guide you step-by-step on how to download your e-PAN quickly and correctly.
1. What is an e-PAN?
An e-PAN is a digitally signed PAN card issued by the Income Tax Department.
It contains the same details as the physical PAN card and is valid everywhere.
Good News: If your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, downloading e-PAN becomes extremely easy.
2. Download PAN Card from NSDL (Protean)
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official NSDL e-PAN download page.
Step 2: Enter your PAN number.
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar number (if asked).
Step 4: Verify using OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Step 5: After successful verification, download your PAN PDF (e-PAN).

3. Download PAN from UTIITSL
If your PAN was issued through UTIITSL, you can follow these steps:
- Visit the UTIITSL e-PAN download portal.
- Enter your PAN, Date of Birth, and registered mobile number.
- Complete OTP verification on your mobile.
- Download your e-PAN instantly in PDF format.

4. Download PAN from Income Tax e-Filing Website
You can also download e-PAN from the new Income Tax e-filing portal:
Login to the portal → Go to “Download e-PAN” section → Verify details & OTP → Download the PDF.

5. Important Notes
- Your mobile number must be linked with Aadhaar.
- Your date of birth must match the PAN database.
- On some portals, free e-PAN download may be allowed once; after that a small fee may be charged.
Tip: If your mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, you may not be able to download e-PAN online.
In that case, you may need to update your Aadhaar mobile or contact the respective PAN service provider.
